We also draw on the Independent Consultants’ Group – a network of over 400 independent researchers.

This flexible system keeps your costs down. It ensures you get the best team for each project. Unlike in big agencies, we can allocate the best person to each project.

By reducing our overheads and by expanding our team, we can offer a unique blend of big agency quality at small agency prices.

George Davidson - Founder

George has over 25 years of experience working in market research and insights. George has worked client side at brands including First Direct, McDonald’s UK, Netflix, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Greene King. George’s clientside experience includes time at TRBi who were leaders in high quality moderating and analysis. George is passionate about high quality research. George is also Adjunct Instructor on the “Consumer Behavior & Marketing Strategy” course at the University of Chicago.

Jade Gibson Price - Branding and Strategy, United Kingdom & USA

Jade is a world-class market researcher and insights expert. Jade has most recently worked in the Insights team at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and as Head of Brand Strategy at SSP. Jade has worked for a mix of agency and clients giving her a best of both worlds perspective of high quality delivery that clients can use in an actionable and practical way. 

Jade graduated cum laude from Columbia University and has a MA from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She has lived in the UK for 16 years and is passionate about cross-Atlantic brand launches and adapting brands across markets.

Mike Brown - Quantitative, United Kingdom

After spending 30 years in market research operations across large agency and small consultancies, spent five years at Kantar in a "Technology Enabled Research" role. Mike was leading the integration of new data sources, whether mobile behavioural, location or social, and bringing the latest technology like video at Quant scale, chat bots to bring the offer into a modern insights arena.

From proposal to project delivery Mike has worked to ensure the industry is utilising the right technology and data that allows us to flourish now and into the future.

Julia Whitehead - Qualitative, United Kingdom

Julia has been a qualitative market researcher for over 25 years. During this time Julia has become known for her commercial awareness and strategic thinking based on her understanding of consumers. She is committed to delivering intelligent research that inspires and makes a difference.

Over the years Julia has written articles for AQR, co-run workshops in moderation skills for the APG. More recently she was invited by The Guardian newspaper to be on an expert panel of business advisers.

Marcus Derham - Qualitative, Germany

Marcus Derham brings a dynamic and creative approach to all of his projects and has established a reputation for providing lively and creative moderation which none the less remains firmly rooted in product and brand truths with the aim of delivering actionable insights and consumer intelligence. Marcus started out in research in 1996 at H,T,P, Concept Berlin (now Happy Thinking People). Marcus set up Inside Out Research in 2009 with the goal of providing tailor made research solutions for international agency clients. Marcus has lived in Berlin since 1990. George first worked with Marcus when George was working at Burger King and was impressed with his excellent and sensitive moderating skills.

Alvaro Casasolas-Boix - Qualitative, Spain

Alvaro is a freelance researcher based in Spain and fluent in Spanish, French, and English. Alvaro has 20+ years of experience having previously worked at Synovate and Psyma Iberica. Alvaro is passionate about high quality qualitative focus groups and depths.

Alvaro has 25 years of experience and is an expert in areas ranging from healthcare to automotive to FMCG. Alvaro has moderated in 4 (four) continents and over 30 countries.

Megumi Miki - Qual and Quant, Japan

Megumi Miki was born and raised in Japan and is a native speaker. She has worked for a number of large international companies such as Sony, Panasonic, NTT docomo and Euromonitor. She has multi-faceted skills and knowledge in research, strategy and project management. Miki has a passion for translating research into strategy and action.


Gamze Arslan - Quantitative, UK, Turkey

Gamze is experienced in market research and with a first degree in Maths and Marketing MBA degrees, she has a focus on numbers and how they help your business. Gamze is highly skilled in quantitative research from study design, questionnaire preparation, data analysis, interpretation and application of consumer insights.

She is a genius with SPSS, SQL and statistical analysis, as well as highly skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel applications.. Gamze was born and raised in Turkey but now lives in London.

Tammy Cooksley - Marketing

Tammy leads the charge in our marketing efforts here at The Lantern. She's dedicated to her craft, with a strong passion for marketing, market research, and insights.
